JPR Doors Inc was founded at Laval, in 1978, by Jean-Paul Gosselin and Robert Goudreau. From the very beginning the company dedicated itself to the manufacturing of residential and commercial high quality garage doors, sometimes personalized and sometimes oversized. JPR has developed over the years a wide range of garage doors and accessories that precisely meet the customers’ needs .

In 2005, JPR Inc acquired “Portes de garage Canadiennes » and its equipment. They were in the garage door business since 1950. This merger resulted in a better coverage of the areas on the south shore and the west part of Montreal.

In 2009, JPR opted for the construction of a larger building, more suited to its needs. This central location can also accommodate under the same roof the personnel from the newly recruited company, Portes Canadiennes, and consequently benefit fully from the new labour force and experience. A very important factor is that eco-friendly choices were made in this new construction, including the use of geothermal energy for the entire building.
